It only took my mom 4 hours. I told my mom that I wanted them a little thicker this time because I've noticed that the thicker the better. My hair is a looser curl pattern in the front and when I do it a little small, my own hair doesn't hold in the braid. The ends likes to ease out of the braid. So the thicker the braid, the better my hair holds. So it's much thicker this time. Also, when it's time to repair my hair, it will be much easier because it's thicker. It wouldn't take a long time to redo them.
So while my hair is braided up, I figured I'll try and attempt a challenge. So I've been browsing Curly Nikki and I saw this Wild Growth Hair Oil Challenge (check it out here). Now you guys know, I bought a bottle and I actually like it. There's NO STINK SMELL, and I love the fact that It's a little thick which reminds me of Castor Oil. I'll use it twice a week since I don't want to use a lot and since it's thick I don't want my scalp to be a sticky mess. Along with moisturizing my hair, I think it will be a great grow out.
I plan on washing my hair once a month. as crazy as that sounds I know I can do it. When I 1st started braiding my hair with synthetic hair earlier this year, I didn't wash my hair for a whole month only because I didn't want to frizz my roots up. So I think washing my hair once a month is cool. I just have to make sure it's a good wash. Clarifying shampoo wash to clean up the build up. Light but moisturizing conditioner, and a great leave in. I should be good.
I'll be checking it for time to time but my no more actual hair up dates since my hair is on vaca.
