So I substituted WGHO for my Castor-Coco(nut) Oil mix. It soothes my scalp and it's just way better than that WG crap! Kudos to those who use WGHO and get results, but not for me AT ALL.
I've noticed that my hair HATES "Hair Growth" aids. Anything that says "Promotes Hair Growth" my hair just acts crazy. It's like "Bitch please. I grown on my own, I DON'T need any help" And like I said in my other post, all I need to do is, put my hair in a protective style and I'm good.
As for my braids. I had to redo the front because my hair wont stay in. Since it's a looser curl pattern, it doesn't have any kink so there's nothing for it to really grip on to. I guess you can say it's too soft.
My mom had to braid it a little smaller because my hair always finds a way to sprout out of the braids. It looks much better now. I washed and conditioned my hair twice and it doesn't look bad! I'm glad I can wash it without it looking so shabby.
2 more months to go with my braid challenge! I'm really proud of myself!
EDIT: I had to take them OUT! I just had to do it. I really love braids, but sometimes a girl just misses her hair! After 2 months, I had to say buh-bye!
1. I braided my hair waaaay to early I should have waited until late October/ November. That's when it starts to get cold in New York. That's when I really want my hair to be protected.
2. I've noticed that my scalp gets super itchy when I put braids in. The fact that I can't wash my hair often really kills me!
3. I need to come up with another protective style because box braids are annoying me.
I like braids for the 1st 2 weeks, after that, my new growth starts to look crazy. And the annoying part is that it takes a while for me to touch them up. I'm going to redo them soon because Fall is here so it's really chilly.
