Ok, this is the 1st length check of my hair growth journey. I've been changing my hair goal for a good year now but I think I have a final goal. I want to go from Ear, Chin, Neck length to BSL/MBL. I have so much shrinkage now that my hair is short, I can only imagine how shrinkage I'm going to get when hair is longer. Like I said in my previous hair goal post, I want to be able to have some length when I straighten my hair and when I wear my hair curly. Now I know it's going to take a year or 2 to go from Ear, Jaw, Neck length to BSL/MBL, so I split my journey into 3 parts.
Part 1: Jun '12- Dec '12 - Ear, Jaw, Neck length to full collarbone.
Part 2: Dec '12- Jun '13 - Collarbone to APL
Part 3: Jun '13- Jun '14 - APL to BSL / MBL
So I'm in Part one of my journey. These pics are I took when I blow dried my hair (for my box braids)

My hair is growing! I guess I pay too much attention to it because sometimes I feel like it doesn't grow. I've noticed a huge difference when I looked at a pic of my hair when I 1st did my big chop In March (3/24)

what happen was, after my 1st big chop I had scab hair. (I still think I do though but I don't want to cut my hair any shorter) So I braided my in April hair because I hated the state it and kept those for a month. I took them out and I ended up cutting my hair because I couldn't take the scab hair. Then ended up putting braids back in for a few weeks and then I finally wore my hair out late May until now.
My hair really grew and all I did was braid it up. So you already know that's going to be my go to protective style to retain my length.
I'll keep you guys post by doing length checks every 3 months that's when my hair isn't in braids.
