The hardest part of my hair journey would have to split into 2. One for Transitioning and one for post BC.
When I was transitioning, the only hard part was when I took out my braids. I would take a 2 week break in between. I would take them out, treat my hair and then press it. That would last for a week. But after that week was up, I had no clue what to do with my hair. It was hard trying to do styles because of the 2 textures and I wasn't used to my hair. So when it came down to doing a particular style, I couldn't do it because I didn't know how to handle my hair. I ended up having a love/hate relationship with Bantu Knots. I would do them, and tie my hair fancy with a cute scarf because I wasn't ready to wear my hair out.
When I BC, It was horrible! I must of said this like 50 times but I had scab hair and I didn't know what the hell to do with my hair. I ended up braiding my hair until I started using Jane Carter. Her Nourish & Shine reeeeeally works great with my hair. If I didn't start using that for my twist outs, idk what would happen to my hair!
