Ok. So let me tell you what happened. Remember I braided my hair back in August and I was suppose to keep those braids in until December with the occasional touching up. Yeaaaa, didn't happen. I ended up taking those brads out 2 days shy of a month. My intensions were to have my hair out for 2 weeks and then have my mom braid it back up for me. Well I only had my hair out for 4 days and I missed my braids! You know when you wear a protective style for a while and you miss your hair, so you take it out only to miss your protective style? I know I'm not alone here. So yea, I missed my braids and I knew my mom wasn't going to put them back in right away. So I did them!
I like them because they are loose... maybe too loose. I HATE tight braids. I hate when I get those hair bumps in the back because they feel so disgusting. So made sure I didn't braid my hair tight.
I'm going to braid my hair 2 more times because practice makes perfect and I really want to star braiding my own hair. I'm slowly winging myself off of my mom doing my hair : ( I don't think I can stop cold turkey but the less she can do, the better. I love my mom but dang... she's not that gentle on my hair. So she can press my hair whenever I'm ready for it to be straight which isn't anytime soon.
