Steam More Often
Steam like my life depends on it! I've been slacking on the steaming and it wasn't until recently that I started doing them again. The reason I stopped was because of laziness. NEVER will I EVER do that again. I have a Huetiful Hair Steamer and the clean up was annoying. So I started to deep condition with without any heat. I would just use a plastic cap and then tie my head with a scarf and keep in the condish for however long I wanted.
Now that I know that I'm for sure Low Porosity (LoPo) and that we have to use HEAT to obtain moisture, I HAVE to start taking my steaming sessions seriously. Right before I put in my braids, I started steaming like crazy. I don't care about the after clean up because the most important part is give my hair the much needed moisture.
Trim When Necessary
Now that my hair is natural, I really have to pay attention to my ends. I've noticed that my ends suffer a beating every time I have it out. It has to be from the twist out. That's why I live in braids because my hair is perfectly stretch. I only want to get a trim every 3 months, but I can't really put a time on it because I probably might need one before the 3 months.
Keep Protective Styles Longer
We aaaall know that I can't keep a long term protective style long to save my life. So, I think I should definitely work on that. I don't know what I have to do but I'm going to do it. I also what to try different longer protective styles like kinky twist or flat twist. Maybe if I change it up, then I probably could keep then in longer.
Pay Close Attention To Hair
I pay attention to my hair BUT! I don't listen to it. I really want start paying attention to what my hair likes and don't like. I already know that I'm LoPo but now I want to see how my hair reacts to certain products.
So those are my Hair Resolution for 2013. These things are pretty easy to keep up with so I shouldn't have a problem doing them. I hope you guy set some hair goals too.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2013!
